Australia 24/25 21 December. Cricket

Today was all about the cricket as Peter was playing in a match.  After a cancelled first half of the usual 80 overs match last week due to the council putting sand on the pitch 2 weeks early,  this was a 40 overs each way match. 

The ground had a brilliant backdrop of the city skyline and it ended up a close match with Newport Digman losing out with only 2 overs left to bowl.  

A good game,  windy but sunny weather and great to see Peter in action,  which is the reason he's in Melbourne at all. 

In the evening after the match we joined Peter's coach and family for an Italian meal in Williamstown. A fun evening with good food,  chat and laughs, but no photos. 

Next stop was the ice cream and frozen yoghurt place nearby. We tried Acai with toppings. Nice but not sure it beats ice cream.
