The flight was only an hour and Adelaide is 30 minutes behind Melbourne so it felt like we arrived v speedily.
Car hire was a Toyota Land Cruiser, which felt massive but with 6 of us in it the luggage was a bit of a squash.
In Adelaide we were staying with Jay and Sara. Jay worked with Jonathan for many years and it was great they were willing to have us stay.
Their modern house in Glenelg with a pool and outdoor space was fab for a relaxing lunch, afternoon by the pool after we'd had a wander to explore the area, including local beach and high street, then dinner at the local pub, where the menu was really varied but everyone's food was delicious.
Amelia and Peter stayed at the local motel just round the corner so they checked in and headed over there after an evening of karaoke on the terrace at Jay and Sara's.
